Our Commitment
Austin DesignWorks is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our website and the core theme we have created and deploy for author websites
Accessibility Status
Currently, our website and author-centric WordPress theme are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA, which are internationally agreed-upon standards that cover a wide range of recommendations and best practices for making content useable. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard but we are currently working on implementing the standards to our site and author-centric theme by undergoing a manual review of the core code (for page structure, organization, and features) and related technologies used in sites we design and build. Plus, as we add new pages/templates and functionality to our website, all designs, code, and content entry practices will be checked against these standards.
What We’re Improving
Our site and author-centric theme are currently undergoing review of code to compile a list of known issues. Soon as we have a confirmed list, we will publish it in this statement, along with how we plan to remediate them.
Limitations
Since the majority of our clients manage their own sites, we cannot guarantee that all client-maintained content or third-party plugin-generated content conforms to accessibility requirements. Our goal is, of course, to deploy solutions that meet those requirements or use those whose developers are equally committed to conforming to standards but we do not have ironclad control of client sites and what they might add to public-facing pages. However, when we do help clients with their site content, we do our best to make sure we are meeting guidelines. In other circumstances, we do our best to advise clients of the need to meet them as well. Also, please note that while we make every effort to provide information accessible for all users, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third party websites to which we may link.
